From earlier creative work to Catarina Atelier
Catarina Atelier was established in 2026, but its creative foundations developed through earlier work by Claudia González Burguete across photography, composition, design and publishing.
The books presented here form part of that creative lineage. Conceived and designed before the formal establishment of Catarina Atelier, they demonstrate an evolving approach to bringing image, narrative, sequence and composition together within the book as a creative object.
They are included in the Atelier portfolio as preceding works that contributed to the development of its multidisciplinary design language, while retaining their original authorship and provenance.

Through the relationship between words and images, the book transforms Claudia's experience of London 2012—from spectator to volunteer performer in the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies—into a considered visual and narrative work.
Its combination of forms part of the creative lineage from which Catarina Atelier would later develop.

Colour photography is brought together with personal anecdotes and stories, creating relationships between images, places, experiences and memories across Europe, Asia and Mexico.
The publication demonstrates an increasingly deliberate approach to —principles that would later become central to Catarina Atelier's editorial and multidisciplinary design work.
From Creative Lineage to Catarina Atelier
These publications pre-date Catarina Atelier and remain credited according to their original authorship and creative direction.
Their inclusion within the Portfolio records the development of ideas that would later become part of the Atelier's design language: composition, curation, sequence, visual narrative and the relationship between individual elements and the whole.
Books created from 2026 onwards may be presented as Catarina Atelier projects where the Atelier is responsible for their concept, curation, creative direction or design.
